33Last Week's Games
(24th June)

It was an excellent Saturday with both teams recording 30 point victories for the first time in a number of years.

The 1st XI travelled to Loughborough Town and batted first after winning the toss. After reaching 118-1 Shilton suffered a batting collapse, losing 6 wickets for 10 runs, and were eventually all out for 160 in the 42nd over. Hass Ali top scored with 57 runs, partnered for much of that innings be Giles Holmes who scored 24. Loughborough raced to 74 without loss in the 12th over, but then suffered a collapse of their own slipping to 87-4. Shilton's spin attack of Mo Rahim, Phil Crouch and Hass Ali continued to press and Loughborough were all out for 154, with Rahim taking 4-14 from his 9.4 overs.

The 2nd XI hosted Kirby Muxloe. Shilton's total of 138-8 relied heavily on Zak Potter's execllent innings of 70 from 71 balls, and when Kirby came to bat, they found Howard Verow in imperious form with a swinging ball. Kirby subsided to 51ao, with Verow taking 5-14 from 10 overs, and Potter 3-16 from 7.
